OUR FOUNDER
Our Founder,
was born and raised in the land of vacations- sunny South Florida.
As a 10 year veteran educator who began her career teaching 7th grade English,
Lakin Goldwire has found the perfect fit for her Multimedia Journalism BA and her teaching experience.
She's currently the Media Specialist at a S.T.E.M. and I.B. infused Middle School.

Her love for education has brought about the desire to develop the adolescent as a WHOLE. Hence, her current pursuit of her Masters degree to be a licensed Mental Health Counselor.
She founded The Gold Standard to help teens who struggle to find their identity, voice, and purpose without a mentor or role model.
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER:
With the proper guidance, tools, and information an individual and a family can overcome the pitfalls that occur in many of our at-risk communities.
At The Gold Standard our sole purpose is to equip adolescents with the tools necessary to be successful in all aspects of their lives.
We believe success is measured through diligent "Progress, NOT Perfection".
My goal is to Raise the Standard and Bridge the gap between Education and the essential Lifeskills required for wellness.
